My Favorite Subject...馃惥馃尡馃挌

Hi, everyone, today I'm going to talk to you about my favorite subject this semester in college, which I had a hard time choosing because they're all so much fun. The subject is an elective called "Wildlife Management" and it is a very interesting subject indeed. In the classes we usually learn about Chilean fauna and how to manage it according to its ecosystem and how to protect and take care of the animals.

The Cordillera de los Andes's Wildlife

We have tackled many topics throughout the semester, in which we find how the fauna develops in a certain habitat, protection measures and animal management controls, how to elaborate environmental projects in specific areas and the costs of managing sectors with animals, how the fauna develops with anthropic action and its influence on nature.

I like this subject very much, because it allows me to learn about an area that is not very well known to me and what has a lot to do with the environment and the area we are studying, since in addition to the flora and trees, we must also know about the little animals that we can find in a forest and how to support their conservation.

Website:CFCN: "Faculty of Forest Sciences and Nature Conservation"馃尡

As a foresters, we don't have many very specific pages where we collect information because we use several websites (like INFOR and CONAF), but today I will talk to you about the website of the Faculty of Forestry and Nature Conservation of the University of Chile (attached link)

This page works for the entire forestry community and students to use. It has several sections such as information and articles about the forestry world such as scientific articles by our professors, as well as communications about the functioning of the career and information about Forestry. There are also the main communication channels of School Management and the contact of all the professors and officials. As well as access to different study and research platforms for students.

I like it because it is really very dynamic and diverse! I use it at least 3 times a week to do my university work, since from the website I can get information with authorized bibliographic sources and contact all the professors and their respective research departments. Besides, I get informed about the communications of the career, and I learn about the current news of the forest world and its conservation, when I read about the articles and news that are constantly updated.

And you, have you ever used this website?

The Nature...馃彏

I had a hard time choosing the topic of this blog, but I think being in quarantine made me analyze things a lot and I think talking about nature and environment in these times is very good to be able to become aware.

Reconnecting with nature key for sustainability

When I entered this race my purpose was always to be able to help the ecosystems, to give back to the environment and to be able to contribute my grain of sand in the conservation of the planet earth. Throughout my years of studying I have experienced good and bad times, but always the focus of study and people are oriented to the care and conservation of nature is the most important.

With the quarantine I have been realizing that, during the confinement by the world-wide pandemic, the people in general have been valuing more the nature, the natural spaces and landscapes outdoors, because no longer they can be presencially enjoying and taking advantage of those places like they would like. It is a great pity that thanks to a virus the earth has been able to have a rest from human wickedness and they have had to learn in this difficult way, about how to become aware of the importance of ecosystems and their conservation (things that we as foresters always try to establish in society through workshops and sustainability initiatives).

A Photograph I Like...

Hi! This time I'll tell you about my favorite picture. When I see it I can remember exactly that moment and how happy I was.

I was on the beach "Las Cujas" in Cachagua, and we were coming back from a trip to the beach and enjoying the afternoon at sea. We went with my family on vacation this summer and were resting at the lookout point at the entrance to the beach.

The picture was taken by my first cousin. She had taken several pictures before that one and it was unexpected because we were laughing and posing for the fun of my grandmother. I like the photo because I leave very happy and it transports me to that moment where I shared with my family on my mother's side and we took advantage of our last days of rest in that beautiful place. I miss being able to return to that moment where I shared with my favorite people and we were distracted from everything and everyone, something that is very necessary in these times 馃グ馃彏馃枻✨.

My Hobbie: Singing

Do you have any hobbies? Some way to blow off steam?  Do you do any activities to distract yourself? Do you play an instrument?  Have you ever tried singing or dancing? Have you ever practiced twerk?

Well, in this blog I will tell you about one of my hobbies that I practice to distract myself, which is singing. Singing is one of my favorite activities, I do it to vent my emotions, to be able to distract myself from stressful moments and anxiety situations. Since I was a little girl I have been doing it and it was to distract me and have fun with my family and friends. I have never gone to an academy to perfect my techniques, but my friends and close ones say that I do it well. Even when I'm older I'm still embarrassed to sing in front of an audience or to be seen singing, but every time I get over my fears and apprehensions so that I can dare to do what I like.

I love to be able to free myself up when I sing or dance, to release energies and enjoy good music, whether in my piece or with friends and share a good time.
